In House Testing Lab

We have an in-house ISTA certified testing lab with dedicated team members trained to follow ISTA procedures and to operate the testing equipment.

Bay Cities has 2 test centers: One in Bentonville, AR and one in Pico Rivera, CA.

Our test centers are equipped with:

• Vibration platen to simulate the vibration on a truck (Bentonville)
• Random vibration table (Pico Rivera)
• Free fall drop tester, which simulates the drops packages may endure during transit or falls
• Incline and horizontal impact tester, which simulates the impact of a package sliding back and forth and being slammed against a surface
• Compression machine (Pico Rivera)

 

ISTA Tests

We can perform the following tests in-house:

1A / 1G*– for shippers < 150 lbs.

1B / 1H* – for shippers > 150 lbs.

3E* – similarly packaged products in unitized loads for truckload shipments

We perform standard 1A / 1B or 1G/H testing for all displays we design.  The ISTA testing to be performed for your packaging depends on the market and channels you sell into, the type of product and size of packaging. We are here to consult you, for you to make an informed decision.

Having us perform an ISTA test for you, will give you an inexpensive insurance policy to make sure the product and contents get to where they are supposed to go with minimal damage.
