Chris Sawyer is an Attorney / Mediator 
and the owner/principal of Sawyer Mediation. Chris provides mediation services exclusively in Family Law matters including Divorce, Custody, Support, Premarital Agreement, and Domestic Partnership Mediations.
Prior to founding Sawyer Mediation, Chris practiced at some of the most prestigious family law firms in San Francisco and the Silicon Valley. Chris now brings extensive courtroom and litigation experience to his mediation practice and handles both small actions and complex family law matters involving the valuation and division of businesses, stock options and deferred compensation, support, and high-conflict custody matters.
Lisa Freitas
Lisa Freitas provides family law consultation
and mediation services for parties with divorce, parenting, custody, support and other family law disputes, as well as cohabitation, premarital and post marital agreements.
Lisa has been active in the Bay Area family law community since 2008, and has received extensive training in mediation practice and family law mediation. She received her Masters Degree in Psychology with a Marriage and Family Therapy concentration in 2011 from Golden Gate University. She is also an experienced divorce attorney and family law litigator, with diverse experience including division of large, complex estates to smaller uncontested divorces.
Divorce Mediation
Mediation is a process in which a neutral Mediator helps two people come to an agreement together voluntarily. Today, many couples use mediation to complete their divorce.

In California, a divorce is a lawsuit. Nonetheless, in many cases, the mediation process can eliminate the parties need to ever appear in court.

Mediation is a neutral process. The Mediator does not pick sides or have a bias in favor of either party.
Animosity Is Ok
It is OK if you are not getting along with the other person right now. Ask the Mediator about responsible ways to invite the other person to mediation.
