Firm Overview
MacDonald Rudy is a leading law firm in Honolulu that specializes in a wide range of litigation, including trust and estate litigation, family and closely held company litigation, admiralty and maritime litigation, as well as other civil suits.
Michael D. Rudy founded the firm in 1992 as a general commercial practice. In 1998, Stephen B. MacDonald joined the firm as senior partner in the litigation department. Ralph J. O’Neill and Robert M. Yamauchi joined soon after as partners, and the firm has continued to expand.
All of our senior partners have more than 30 years of experience in Hawaii, and we represent both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and the state court of Hawaii. Our clients range from individuals to local businesses to large mainland firms.
We’ve made a point to invest heavily in technology to enhance our practice, integrating Westlaw, litigation databases, Electronically Stored Information applications, video conferencing and other tools to handle some of the most complex cases in Hawaii.
